Reflection
Paul invites a praying community to practise gratitude together. Giving thanks in difficult circumstances does not mean calling suffering good or hiding tears. A small thank-you and an honest lament can belong in the same prayer. Both can be brought to God.

Father, I rejoice in You. I pray without ceasing. I give thanks in all circumstances. This is Your will for me. Amen.
